Lauren Hamvas

Lauren's artistic swimming career started on a whim at 8 years old when her mom saw a flyer and said "Hey, I think you'd like this!" And she was right (as moms usually are). Lauren swam for several years for a now defunct team in St. Louis, Missouri. She is one of the original members of Boston University's club team and had the opportunity to compete at national NCAA competitions. Lauren joined the Mad City Aqua Stars in 2017 as both an assistant coach and Masters athlete. She is currently a Level 3 coach and Level 2 judge. Lauren's favorite part of coaching is sharing her enthusiasm for the sport with new athletes.
